Melbourne Bayside Removals
The bayside move, planned before you book

Tell us about the home, we will tell you the move

Down here the move is decided by the grandeur of the house, the precious things inside it, and how hard the bay sits against the street, not by the kilometres. Describe your place and we will show you the crew and truck it actually needs, honestly.

1. What kind of home is it?

Brighton mansions and Beaumaris architect homes are big, multi-level moves; Elwood walk-ups are all about the stair.

2. How many levels and stairs?

Stairs are the single biggest factor in how long a careful move takes.

3. Any precious or oversized pieces?

These are normal on the bayside. We crate and crew for them so nothing irreplaceable is rushed.

4. How does the bay sit against the home?

A timed loading window on Beach Road, or a clifftop carry above Half Moon Bay, changes the day.

What we will plan for you

An honest, indicative plan, not a final quote. We confirm everything on your real address, both ends.

    What each result means

    Three sizes of bayside move

However grand the home, the move falls into one of three shapes, and the special pieces and the access are planned on top. This is how we resource each one, so the price reflects the real work.

    1

    Standard crew

An apartment, unit or single-level home on a kind street. Two movers and a truck move it efficiently, with the usual wrapping and floor protection.

    2

    Larger crew

A house or townhouse with stairs, or a walk-up with no lift. We add a mover and the time the staircase needs, and bring crating for anything precious.

    3

    Full grand-home crew

A multi-level period mansion or architect home, a grand piano or antiques, or a clifftop carry. A larger crew, proper crating, and a timed plan for the access at both ends.

    Good to know

    About the planner

    Is this my final quote?

No. It is an honest read on the crew and truck your home and access call for, so your quote is accurate and the day has no surprises. Use the result in your enquiry and we will price the move on your real address, both ends.

Why does a grand home cost more than a unit?

More rooms, more stairs and more precious pieces all take more hands and more time, and we would rather crate the piano and the antiques properly than rush them. The planner sizes the crew to the real home so the price reflects the real work.

How do you handle a no-lift Elwood walk-up?

Most of Elwood’s 1930s apartments have no lift, so the staircase and a tight beachside street are the whole job. We size the crew to the stair, bring the right trolleys and straps, and scout a legal loading spot before the day.

Do you really move a grand piano or antiques?

Yes. Bayside homes hold a lot of precious and oversized pieces, and pianos, antiques, mirrors and large art are a normal day for us. Tick what you have and we factor the crating and the crew into the plan and the quote.
